Guide to Progression in Warhammer Online

2010 - 2 - 6

For XP - Scenarios, Normal Questing, Public Questing, Open-RvR (Note: Open-RvR is highly dependant on situation, and

does have a good potential for XP, but in a typical situation, does not give very good XP at all.)

It is true that scenarios are worth(Warhammer Online Gold) very much. Lets first use Tier 2 as a comparison. Quests are

typically worth approximately 2k each. Not including the additional kill XP, which is typically 150-200 each (unrested and

solo). Now Scenarios - which in Tier 2 are worth approximately 10k bonus for winning, 5-6k for losing. This is not including

additional kill XP which is typically 250-350 each.

First, the kill XP is dependant with the scenario. With each kill giving more XP then a similar monster kill, you need less to

equal the XP from a quest. In an average scenario, the kill XP will slightly outweigh the XP from questing, because you get

XP from not only your own kills, but ones in the party as well. In a major loss, you will get less XP then questing. And in a

major win, you get more then questing.

Now for the bonus XP :you would need to complete 5 quests to match a win, and 2 and a half to 3 quests to match a

loss for normal quests to match scenarios. Also factor in that scenarios last between 6 and 15 minutes. Including all the

travel time involved, how often have you completed 5 quests within 6 minutes? Or 15 minutes for that matter? That is 2

minutes a quest, when most quests include about 2 minutes from travel time alone. Worst case scenario would be 2 and

a half quests in 15 minutes, which equates to 6 minutes per quest - which is comparable to questing in effect.

So in the end, normal questing give about as much XP as the average scenario LOSS. In a win, you far overshadow the

XP that is possible to attain while questing.
